VILLAGE IDIOM IS A JOHN LENNON-INSPIRED RIDE
Biancalana's Book/CD Celebrates the Beatles' 40th Anniversary

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA March 8, 2004 - AntiWarhog Press today announced the new release of Village Idiom and companion performance CD by author and actor, Tim Biancalana. Biancalana's 2004 debut book release celebrates the Beatles' first appearance in the United States and also the anniversary of Lennon's first book, In His Own Write, which became a bestseller in 1964.

This original work of social satire, poetry, short stories, songs and illustration is a unique tribute to British Rock 'n' Roll icon, John Lennon. Village Idiom is a comedic work combining the multiple talents of the author in a consistently funny, entertaining and inspiring book of pure creativity. It takes you on an "imagine if" experience as though John Lennon were writing contemporary lyrics, stories and social commentary in the 21st century.

Biancalana has been a Beatles enthusiast for years and was inspired by Lennon's life, music, writing and unsurpassed creative genius. "As a writer, I emulate his poetry and story-writing style. As an actor, I use my body, speech and song to bring my original writing and social satire to life. I borrow Lennon's mannerisms, British dialect and irreverent style of humor adding my own attitude of the ridiculous," said Biancalana. The Village Idiom performance CD has already received local radio airplay.

"Irreverent, intellectual humor, stirred with imaginative word play and wit reminiscent of the lyrics and writings of John Lennon, with a dash of Monty Python…that's Tim Biancalana's Village Idiom book and performance CD in a nutshell," said Dot Findlater, President of Dorothy Findlater Management and Biancalana's acting manager.

Biancalana bears a striking physical resemblance to Lennon. A one-man show based on his book is currently in development. This stage version of his satirical, original material will be performed for Lennon-loving audiences, starting in Los Angeles theaters. "I am completely taken by Tim's physical, vocal and intellectual dedication to the character of John Lennon. As he delivered original material from Village Idiom in my workshop, I saw a young Lennon perform on my stage…it was stunning," said Paul Sylvan, Biancalana's acting coach.

Village Idiom is published by World Wide Web Press, Riverside, California, and is distributed by Ingram Book Company in the US and Bertram Books in the UK. The 164-page, paperback features a 4-color cover with original illustrations created by the author and is available online at www.villageidiom.com, www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com. The book retails for $19.95. Companion performance CDs are available for $14.95 through www.villageidiom.com and www.cdbaby.com.
